Dr. V. Venkatanagarajan holds the dual degree of MS & PhD in management (HR/OB) from the Department of management studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. He specializes in the area of positive organizational behaviour. He completed his post-graduation in Human resources Management (MA-HRM) from D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai and under-graduation in Commerce (B. Com) from R.K.M. Vivekananda College, Chennai.
His research work specifically focuses on the upward contagion effect of psychological capital (PsyCap) at workplace. The study attempts to understand the underlying mechanisms and the boundary conditions involved in the transfer of PsyCap resources (i.e., hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism) from followers to leaders.
Besides being an academician, Venkatanagarajan is an accomplished Carnatic Vocalist and regularly performs in prestigious sabhas during the annual music festival at Chennai (December music season). Some of his recent awards include “Best male vocalist” from The Madras Music Academy, “Shanmukha Sangeetha Shiromani” from The Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha, Bombay, “Sangeetha Mudhra” award from Mudhra, Chennai, and B-High grade (AIR, Chennai).
