How can I get admission in 2023 MBA?

The first step to getting admission to an MBA program is to apply for various entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, etc. Further, a candidate must also fill out the application form on the admission portal of the MBA college of their choice. For certain B-Schools like the IIMs, candidates can select the institute while filling out the CAT form. Apart from these for all other MBA colleges, a candidate needs to separately visit the respective admission portal and fill out the application form.

Can I apply for MBA now?

Most MBA colleges roll out their admission forms before the CAT exam, however, the deadline for each B-School differs every year.

For some schools, the admission form deadline is just before the CAT exam. Examples of B-Schools falling in this category are FMS, MDI Gurgaon, etc. Many B Schools keep their deadline to fill out the admission form before the results of the CAT exam. B-Schools like SP Jain, Delhi School of Economics, etc fall into this category. Candidates can fill out the admission forms for Some institutes even after the CAT results (subject to the availability of seats). Colleges including IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi, etc fall into this category. Great Lakes accepts students in four cycles. What documents are required for an MBA admission?

While each B-School differs in terms of their requirements for documents, some of the common documents required include - ID proof, 10th, 12th & graduation mark sheets, latest passport size photograph, signature, and work experience certificates (if any). Candidates should keep these documents handy while applying for various MBA colleges.

What is profile-based selection for MBA?

Certain MBA colleges offer profile-based selections based on past year test results and extraordinary achievements. Profile-based selection allows the candidates to be directly eligible for the interview stage before the results of the current year's entrance exams are announced. They can get an offer to confirm their seats in their respective MBA programs well in advance, provided they fulfill the required eligibility criteria. How do I write an MBA SOP?

Most of the MBA colleges have started asking for SOP or Statement of Purpose as part of the admission form-filling process. They can also mention any of their past experiences relevant to pursuing an MBA degree. A well-written SOP plays a crucial role in overall profile evaluation.
