Vishwanathan Iyer is a Senior Associate Professor in the area of Finance & Accounting, and the Director of Accreditation at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. Prior to this, he was the Academic Dean at TAPMI and had also held various leadership roles over the last ten years. He has an overall experience of twenty years of teaching and research across top business schools in India and about three years of professional practice as Chartered Accountant.

His areas of teaching include Accounting, Fixed Income, Quantitative Asset Management, Corporate Finance and Financial Econometrics. His research interests are Risk Management, Earnings Management and Psycholinguistics. He has conducted various in-company and on-campus training programs for various corporates in the areas of Finance for non-finance managers, Strategic Cost management and Financial Modelling. Further, he has conducted various faculty training programs in Case pedagogy for Accounting courses, Management Games as a Pedagogy and Financial Econometrics.

He was a Visiting Scholar at the McCallum Graduate School of Business, Bentley University, Boston. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Commerce, professional qualification of Chartered Accountancy and a PhD in the area of Finance.

He has an avid interest in Vedanta and is an invited speaker on the same. He is in the process of bringing out a series of monologues & articles to bring to fore the lessons from Indic philosophy to the world of management.
