Dr. Umayal Palaniappan

Area of Expertise: Operations Management and Performance Measurement
Umayal is an Assistant Professor at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai with over fifteen years of academic experience. She holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Anna University. Her teaching interest include Operations Management, Business Optimization Techniques, Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management. Her research interests lie in sustainability, digital transformation, and supply chain strategy, with a particular emphasis on the role of emerging technologies in enabling environmentally responsible operations. She has published in both national and international journals.

Delivered a guest lecture on the topic "Prospective of Management Education" at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering. The purpose of this invited talk was to create an awareness on the significance of management education among the engineering graduates.
